AIRBNB COFFEE TABLE CHALK DRAWING

This is a drawing I did as a commission for an Airbnb photo shoot. I was hired to draw something on a coffee table covered in chalkboard paint. The street was Chipmunk Lane. The owner wrote me afterwards and told me when his wife saw it she started to cry saying it reminded her of them. Woodstock is a very magical place, in and of itself, so I really wanted to capture that magic and the property was wooded and beautiful. The original idea was to create a lettering that had a look of tie dye, but with chalk that became very difficult. I also did not want to take away from the chipmunks. I wanted them to be the main focus, having a snack in the moonlight. I also wanted to take the focus off of the hinges an imperfections on the tabletop.
