Stone River Gear LLC, Anniversary Knife Project for NRA -ILA
At the end of the day, I make business decisions as a designer to feed my family, and must remain impartial of the subject matter and maintain professionalism. I aim for quality design and a means to make a living in the field of my education and career. I like to think of it as using my creativity to serve sportsmen and women, and nothing politically tied or motivated. I have been with Stone River Gear, LLC, as their freelancer for almost three years, and their main clients are the NRA, NWTF (National Wild Turkey Federation) and Ducks Unlimited, where I create promotional good design for my client to pitch and sell to their clients.
For this particular project, I was provided a photo of a knife, and was asked to alter the rivets slightly, and create the plaque as, well and font choices for the NRA-ILA's Anniversary knife. I also chose the placement of both elements. The item was then sent to the manufacturer after being approved by Stone River Gear's client. The product photos were ones sent to me, while I await a product sample coming from my client, after some shipping issues that have arisen. I hope to have better quality photos that clearly show the lettering with the letters not running together.
I am also showing the images of the illustration I created to get to this project completion.
